Jihad and Mcworld is a completely opposite forces. The author the book, Benjamin Barber focus on the relationship between Jihad and Mcworld. Jihad directly translate means “struggle”. Benjamin Barber viewed the word “Mcworld” differently as it has done with independent and identity.
Benjamin Barber gave couple examples about how Mcworld start influence different region of the world. For me, I am more familiar to the word “Mcworld” as it is a term for westernization and everyone have more information about this word. Whereas “Jihad”, which people might not familiar with the word. In the past, it used to be a “struggle” meaning for religious term, however, as there are many news about religious fight that is related to “jihad” which also became another term of holly war.
I personally think both terms can be interdependence under our society. We respect each term they chose in turn of their belief for Mcworld or be as jihad. It’s all about respect, otherwise without respect, it will cause more fight and it will never end.
